To all, from Club Officers to Senior Players to Juniors to Parents to Club Helpers for the magnificent turn out to the Club's AGM last Wednesday. For those attending for the first time I sincerely hope you found it interesting and worth while. From some people I spoke to they were amazed at the cost of running our club.
Welcome on board to Freddie Matthews for taking on Sponsorship matters with so much gusto and enthusiasm; very much appreciated Freddie. Blair Winter our club secretary will take the reins for grants, Tim Rance is our 3rd XI captain, thanks gentlemen. All other officers were voted back in on block.
Thank you also goes to the ladies for taking on kit ordering, I am sure Jamie will be pleased to be relieved of this, but i am sure will assist in any way he can. We look forward to an extended portfolio for next season.

You will note from the last award that it is the club's intention to reinstate previous trophies the club has. The Fred Eastap Award is for centuries scored by a player at any level in competitive cricket. For your information Fred was our groundsman in the 1960's and 1970's when we played at Radford's Pleasance (Vicarage Park) before moving to our current location.
Our juniors played indoor cricket at Willows again on Saturday night. In an exciting match, our U14s lost by 1 run to Clifton CC (however we lent them a player so it was a morale victory). Then our U16s got their first win beating top of the league Long Eaton in a slightly controversial match where we successfully got a 12 run swing in the score off 1 ball where the opposition claimed they'd caught the batsman, but it was (rightly) judged to have been hit for 6! We ended up beating them by 6 runs (Mickleover U16 - 86; Long Eaton CC - 80).
Josh is shaving his hair off just in time for Christmas!!
